This is a single earring featuring ancient agate, blue antique beads, and silver beads. The agate, with its intricate stripe patterns, is ancient agate from Afghanistan, dating back over 1200 years. Its beautiful stripes and the atmosphere of age create a wonderfully dignified presence. While there are minor imperfections, the bead itself is in excellent condition. The origin of beads called India-Pacific beads is said to date back to the 2nd century BC. These particular beads are excavated artifacts from Indonesia, dating to around the 10th century – over 1000 years old! The plump silver beads are handcrafted one by one. The flower-like components above and below are also made of solid silver (925). The double-spiral rings and the small beads in between are Karen silver. The connecting pins are also silver.
