This piece is a design based on the Diplomatic Credential presented by the Great Qing Empire Guangxu Emperor (Kuang-hsu Emperor) to the Great British Empire. The Diplomatic Credential is currently kept in the National Palace Museum. The cover is a replication of the fine cover of Qing imperial documents submitted to the Emperor, and the inner pages are decorated with the contents of such imperial documents beautifully written in Chinese and Manchurian calligraphy.
