Habenaria (Orange-Red - Fig. 8) A tropical terrestrial orchid available in a variety of colors. Naturally found in forest understories or near waterfalls with high ambient humidity. Known as the tropical egret orchid, this variety originates from Hong Kong and Thailand. These rare tuberous plants are easy to grow; leaves and flowers will emerge when the season is right. A perfect entry-level option for wild grass enthusiasts. Please continue watering after blooming; there is no need to lift the tubers. As the tubers age and grow, they produce more flower buds and may naturally multiply into new plants. Flowers bloom sequentially from bottom to top, a characteristic of orchids, allowing for 4 to 5 weeks of appreciation.
