Ancient Agate Beads Necklace from West Asia
A striking monochrome rhythm of ancient times.
This necklace features 10 ancient agate beads from West Asia, each with a distinct black and white hue, strung together.
Unearthed from regions spanning Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Northern Myanmar, these are ancient beads belonging to the West Asian bead tradition, buried for centuries.
Since 2019, these beads were gradually collected from four fellow dealers, allowing for the assembly of this complete and harmonious ancient composition.
The central section is adorned with 2,000-3,000-year-old Indian Medicine Buddha beads, whose fine grey-white and coffee-colored striations add depth and nuance to the overall black and white contrast.
Strung together with two strands of Chinese cord B, the necklace is finished at the end with Indian Medicine Buddha bead pieces and a small Vajra charm, ensuring a secure fit and adding a touch of ritualistic elegance.
Necklace length: Approximately 51 cm.
