[ Seven Classic Taiwanese Railway Stations Commemorative Bookmarks ]
The wheels of time roll ever onward, never pausing for a soul.
The cherished elegance of bygone eras often lives on only through books and records.
Though we navigate the conveniences of our mobile, digital age, a truly resonant feeling can be elusive within the confines of screens.
We trace the footsteps of history back to railway stations, where human connection and emotion once thrived.
The stories of joy and sorrow interwoven at these places leave a profound, lingering impression.
The evolution of these stations mirrors the ceaseless march of time itself.
Even viewed through a modern lens, the artistic achievements that transcend history often surpass much of today's architecture.
We have channeled this sentiment into everyday reading experiences, hoping to preserve this feeling within the grand narrative of history.
Introducing our collection of commemorative bookmarks featuring seven classic Taiwanese railway stations:
Keelung, Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, Chiayi, Tainan, and Kaohsiung.
Each bookmark set includes a postcard and an envelope. The postcard features historical insights, hand-drawn illustrations of the station, and poetic verses.
The included envelope allows you to share this piece of history with a friend.
[ Chiayi Station ]
Chiayi Station was established on April 20, 1902, located in the West District of Chiayi City. It serves as a crucial junction for the Taiwan Railways Administration's West Coast Line and the Alishan Forest Railway's Alishan Line.
In its early days, it also connected to two sugar railway lines, the Chiayi Line and Puzi Line, both of which have since been decommissioned. Today, the current Taiwan Railways Chiayi Station's rear entrance occupies the former site of the sugar railway station, with convenient transfers available via an overpass.
Chiayi Station is the second-largest station in southern Taiwan, second only to Kaohsiung Station. In 1995, the Chiayi Depot was established as a maintenance base for southern commuter trains.
