Bodhi Buddhist Artifacts | Japanese 18th-19th Century Esoteric Buddhist Ritual Implement
Five-Prong Vajra | The Tactile Sensation and Sharpness of a Century-Old Piece
Acquired from an overseas collector
Circa 18th-19th Century, a religious artifact over a century old
Material: Bronze Alloy
Dimensions: Total Length 13.9 cm
Hand-carved and finished, a ritual implement with a palpable history of practice
This vajra has 3 cracks in total at the central prong and the two flanking prongs (see photos).
As an antique over a century old, some damage is inevitable. Please consider carefully if this is a concern.
While I personally do not typically sense the "energetic field" of ritual implements,
on one occasion, I slept with a Japanese Sankosho (single-prong vajra) placed under my pillow and dreamt of a fire ritual, clearly smelling the scent of burning resin.
Furthermore, a long-term spiritual practitioner who handled several of my implements described noticeable responses and subsequently repurchased Japanese vajras for their collection.
(The above are personal experiences shared for reference.)
