Broken or chipped ceramics that are no longer in use are upcycled, finished with kintsugi, and transformed into accessories. Our concept is to create modern accessories that connect to the future, allowing people to feel close to nature and Japan's enduring traditions, by giving new life and possibilities to these materials. This elegant ceramic fragment, with a subtle glimpse of a leaf pattern, is adorned with a freshwater pearl. Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the ceramic piece, allowing the gold to shimmer from the side and exude a refined elegance. The accompanying chain is an allergy-friendly surgical stainless steel chain with 18K gold plating, making it resistant to tarnishing and gentle on the skin. The chain length is 40cm + a 5cm adjuster. This work uses a modern, simplified kintsugi technique. Instead of traditional lacquer derived from the sap of the lacquer tree, we use new lacquer, which is less likely to cause irritation, and gold powder (brass powder).
