It retains the inherent qualities of the material, requiring minimal refinement or processing, and is free from chemical additives and pollution—a natural, pure, and fresh resource. • Common imperfections include insect marks, growth lines, brands, and scars (holes). Scars (holes) are typically avoided in use. • Natural cowhide exhibits wrinkles and growth lines due to variations in different parts of the hide. These are unavoidable as cows may experience friction with other cattle or insect bites during their growth. Over time and with usage, it will develop a deeper, richer sheen. • Use a clean brush to remove dust and dirt from the surface and crevices. Then, apply a suitable leather conditioner evenly for maintenance (avoid conditioning in humid weather).
