These earrings are crafted by connecting Afghan metal parts, dark blue beads, and ethnic bells. The metal parts, sourced from Afghanistan, exhibit a beautiful verdigris patina. While not ancient, they have been treated to achieve a vintage look, giving them an incredibly cool, substantial feel. (Size: 0.9cm height, 1cm diameter) The dark blue beads are antique glass beads known as Indo-Pacific beads. Their origins are said to trace back to the 2nd century BC. These particular beads are archaeological finds from Indonesia, dating back to approximately the 10th century – over 1000 years old! The bells are components from the Kuchi tribe of Afghanistan, originally part of decorative items and considered antique. They do not produce sound.
