The "Vachetta process" is characterized by its slow and lengthy oil impregnation of the leather, making it resistant to oil loss. All processes are meticulously finished by skilled artisans, one piece at a time, by hand. Although this traditional method is very inefficient and labor-intensive, the result is a soft leather with a natural, non-glossy texture. Because this leather is slowly impregnated with a large amount of oil, it is resistant to oil loss and boasts robustness that can withstand the test of time.
