This is a blown glass vase.
It is part of an ongoing series of works called "Ruru."
The technique involves applying a few small specks of color to milky white glass, which are then wrapped in clear glass to create patterns.
This piece, item number 16, was formed by rolling up the leftover pieces from creating "Ruru" plates into a cylindrical shape, and then molding it into an egg shape.
The opening is designed to stand slightly upright.
When formed into a cylinder, a few tiny pinholes are present where the glass was joined, and subtle undulations appear due to variations in thickness. (See the 3rd photo)
In the 5th photo, a medium-sized rose has been placed in the vase.
*Not made with heat-resistant glass.
