It is a long journey for ramie from fiber picking to twisting and then to weaving into a piece of cloth Every link is a subject of knowledge, so this time I split this entire process into three courses to learn (1) Course: We will learn the making of the traditional Taroko people's Linen scraper, and then start from cutting ramie to actually use the hand-made Linen scraper to scrape the ramie fiber (2) Course: we make traditional and modern spinning wheels, and actually twist yarn spinning (time to be determined $1800) (3) Courses: We will learn the ancient dyeing techniques to carry out the bandage weaving art which is popular in various tribes (time to be determined $1800) ----------------------------------------------- Instructors: Huang Fangqi Master of Arts, Institute of South Island Culture, Taitung University.
