Hat designer Shlomit Yaish, who worked in Tokyo from 2003 to 2008, was consistently inspired and excited by the way Japanese people choose to wear hats – how they adorn themselves with hats of various shapes and sizes, how they style them, integrate them into the latest fashion trends, and create their own unique combinations through hat design, and how these function in their daily lives. It's hard to imagine a flower on a woman's hat being stylish for a man. In "Hats on the Streets of Tokyo," Yaish, along with three Tokyo-based photographers, beautifully captures these imaginative and sometimes quirky interpretations of hat fashion.
