Artbook feeling

This is my third artbook. I'm often asked if I'll create a picture book, and while I'd certainly love to, it doesn't feel like the right time yet. So, the designs are crafted to feel subtly connected, almost as if telling a story. My two-year-old daughter has been a significant source of inspiration, sparking numerous ideas. While friends who are also artists with children manage to create alongside their responsibilities, I found myself reflecting on how I could draw inspiration from motherhood to inform my work. The accompanying text captures my feelings and thoughts during that period. It's not quite a "behind-the-scenes" story, but designing the book's cover is an exhilarating challenge. I need to muster significant courage to face it. (I have immense admiration for book designers!). The choice of paper for the cover and interior, the binding method, the page count, the thickness and hue of the paper, the font, the size of the text... the list is endless, yet the process of examining each element is incredibly enjoyable. And the moment of completion is truly special. It's finally finished! I want to dance with joy! Whether I'm drawing or designing, I find immense pleasure in it. (The red thread binding is a key accent – a nod to the red-haired girl in my work). Following "Winter" in 2019 and "Looking Now, As If Guiding" in 2023, here is "feeling" in 2025. I'm very much looking forward to what I'll create next.
