Beginning in 2012, she developed the "Sound Portrait" series, where musical notes are assembled into visualized graphic patterns. Presented through video installations, these works resemble discordant sheet music. When the timeline in the video intersects with parts of the depicted figures, cacophonous and unpleasant sounds emerge from the complex layering of notes, generating illogical noise from the rules of musical notation. This mirrors the political figures in the public eye, where an unreasonable political ecosystem exists within seemingly structured systems. Peggy KUO is also an artist who brings graphic scores to concert hall performances.
