Besides being known as Taiwan's "backyard," Hualien is also a wonderful place to encounter whales and dolphins.
You can meet them there any day of the year.
Due to the pandemic, the annual "Sea or. Crazy Market" couldn't take place as usual.
This led to a change in how I participate; I chose to have my artwork represent me.
Several of these pieces depict the common whale and dolphin leaps seen in Hualien.
I decided to transform these artworks into washi tape, so that for everyone unable to witness the magnificent sights at sea, looking at the tape would bring the same sense of oceanic healing.
