Began learning jade carving in Taipei in 1988. Studied Advertising Design in high school from 1993, integrating design concepts into his work. Established his own studio in 1994. 2000: Awarded an honorable mention in the Craft category at the 14th Nanying Art Exhibition for his work "Waiting for the Right Moment." Participated in a jade and stone exhibition at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in August. 2001: Invited to the Hualien International Art Festival to perform live carving in the local creation zone. 2002: Selected for the "Dream of Craftsmanship" award at the 10th Taiwan Craft Design Competition. Exhibited jade and stone works at the Hsinchu County Cultural Affairs Bureau in January. Participated in a jade and stone exhibition at the "Flowers and Trees Carnival" in Changhua County in May. Invited to exhibit at the "Grand View of Stones" exhibition, co-organized by the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Cultural Foundation and the Hualien County Cultural Affairs Bureau, held in department stores across northern, central, and southern Taiwan from October to December. 2003: Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute to exhibit works such as "Lotus Ecological Scenery" at the "Taitung Local Craft Exhibition" in the Presidential Office. 2004: Featured in the National Education Radio program "Arts and Culture Corridor – Xie Zhong-Ren Jade Stone Carving Exhibition" from March to June. Selected for the "Dream of Craftsmanship" award at the 12th Taiwan Craft Design Competition. Held a solo exhibition at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall from October to January 2005. 2005: Invited by the National Taiwan Museum to exhibit his work "Taiwanese Snacks - Braised Pork Rice." Participated in the "Faces of Sherlock Holmes" exhibition with the National Museum of the Czech Republic from June to September. Established the "Yu Ning Shi" brand and opened counters in department stores. Exhibited at the "Craft Masters" exhibition at Pacific Sogo Department Store in mid-December. 2007: Invited to participate in the "Craftsmanship Up Close - Applied Life Crafts Exhibition" hosted by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute at the Executive Yuan Gallery. 2008: His work "Japanese-style Sushi" was selected for the "Taiwan Craft Competition" by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute. 2012: His work "Half Thought" received an honorable mention in the Traditional Craft category at the "Taiwan Craft Competition" organized by the Ministry of Culture and the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute.
