Founded in 1929, the German luxury brand Comtesse is renowned for its exquisitely crafted horsehair and exotic leather bags. This piece is an alligator-embossed leather bag designed for the Japanese Menard brand in the 1960s. The cowhide features a three-dimensional alligator-embossed pattern, with a glossy and lustrous leather surface. It bears the Comtesse "C" crown logo. The gold chain is in excellent condition with no oxidation, and the chain links are engraved with a fine rope pattern. It can be detached and used as a clutch. The magnetic clasp opens and closes smoothly. The design is small and charming, with a clean interior showing only minor, non-severe peeling. It can accommodate a short wallet, phone, and other essentials. The overall exterior is well-preserved, with only one small area of peeling inside. Please refer to the last image for dimensions.
