The reddish earthenware offers a rustic warmth and a slightly coarse texture, characteristic of clay-based pottery.
After being molded into a charmingly rounded yunomi shape, it was fired with an application of a soft, off-white matte glaze and a vibrant Turkish blue glaze.
This vessel allows you to enjoy its endearing, rounded form as well as the beautiful interplay of textures created by the clay and glazes.
When cradled in both hands, the gentle curves of the cup fit comfortably in your palms.
The interior, with its off-white hue, allows you to appreciate the colors of transparent beverages like green tea or black tea.
Its wide form also lends itself to serving potage soup or acting as a small bowl for side dishes such as simmered greens or dressed vegetables.
It's also perfect for serving puddings, coffee jelly, or even ice cream.
We hope you'll enjoy it with your favorite drinks and dishes.
Each piece is meticulously handcrafted in my home studio, which is equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. Every step, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, is done by hand.
While mass production isn't possible, each item possesses its own unique character, offering the distinct charm that comes from handmade craftsmanship.
The item you receive will be the one shown in the product images.
To protect your tabletops, the base of the cup has been carefully smoothed with sandpaper.
I continuously explore new combinations of various glazes and clays, creating a diverse range of pottery in different colors and shapes.
No two pieces are ever exactly alike; they may appear similar, but each is a unique, one-of-a-kind creation.
It would bring me great joy if you find a piece that you truly love.
I hope you'll find beauty in the interplay of clay and glaze, adding a touch of color to your daily life.

*Notes on Purchase and Use*
- Due to the porous nature of pottery, it may absorb liquids, potentially leading to staining in the crazing or seepage of moisture.
To address this, we treat all our ceramic tableware with a food-safe sealant to ensure water resistance, so there's no need for you to perform a preliminary soaking (mezome).
This sealing process takes 2-3 days, which is why our shipping timeframe is set at 5 days from order placement.
If you prefer not to have the sealant applied, please let us know at the time of purchase.
- The glazes' colors may appear lighter, closer to white, under natural morning light or white artificial lighting. Conversely, they might exhibit warmer red or yellow tones under evening light or warm-colored lighting.
- Cutlery shown in product images is not included.
- We strive to capture and edit product images to be as true to the actual item as possible. However, please be aware that colors may vary depending on your monitor settings and ambient lighting conditions.
- As this item is also sold on other platforms, in the rare event of overlapping purchases, the item will be allocated to the customer who completes the purchase process first. We appreciate your understanding.
- While the item can be used in a microwave (for gentle warming) and dishwasher, the vibrations from microwaves and the high-pressure spray of hot water may accelerate wear over time. We recommend using these appliances sparingly.
- Please refrain from using the item in an oven or over an open flame.
- After use, to prevent stains and mold, please wash thoroughly, ensure it is completely dry, and then store it in your cupboard or cabinet.
