Crafting Process. Starting from a sketch, I shape the clay, allow it to dry slightly, and then refine its form through repeated steps. I carefully measure the amount needed for an even firing, a process that takes about a month. Bisque firing takes 7 hours. After removing them and wiping them with water, I individually apply glaze before the main firing, which lasts 12 hours. For certain pieces, I add gold glaze and place them back in the kiln for another 7 hours. Since they require a slow cooling process, I wait about two days after each firing before removing them from the kiln. Finally, I select each piece and attach a pin by hand. Currently, the success rate is around 70%. While this process requires significant time and effort, the result is a decorative brooch that combines the earthy feel of clay, the strength of ceramic, the luster of glaze, and the shimmer of gold accents.
