DAPENG BAY: 3952 Old Mountain Goat - Named after a famous Taiwanese landmark, this special edition embodies grand writing. The pen barrel is crafted from selected yellow rosewood, naturally shaped by turning. The special finishing process results in a dazzling, high-definition, high-gloss surface. High-definition, high-gloss treatment involves repeatedly applying and polishing transparent lacquer until the pores formed in the wood grain over time are completely filled. This process requires dozens of cycles of lacquering and polishing. The high-definition, high-gloss finish creates a smoother surface, offering a more tactile writing experience and making the exquisite wood grain appear more three-dimensional and distinct. This surface treatment also makes maintenance easier, protecting the wooden body from accidental ink stains. However, this sophisticated technique incurs a higher cost. Both high-definition, high-gloss and standard finishes have their unique charm, catering to different tastes. Old Mountain Goat Fountain Pens sincerely offer these options, appreciating your support. The high-definition, high-gloss finish mirrors the lustrous sheen of premium wood trim in luxury cars, so polished it can reflect like a mirror, offering a uniquely substantial feel in hand. Most finishes on the market are simply polished or waxed after turning; complex treatments like this are exceptionally rare. (Natural grain, high-quality wood, random selection for shipment). The pen is fitted with accessories turned from genuine brass, electroplated in a gunmetal grey finish, featuring a rotating airtight cap and a specially designed flexible clip.

Hand-ground and Adjusted Calligraphy Nib:
1. For calligraphy nibs, it is recommended to dip the nib in ink for initial writing (do not remove the installed converter in the barrel to prevent ink from flowing back into the pen body after writing). After a period of writing to familiarize yourself with the nib's characteristics, then use the converter to fill with ink for writing.
2. The calligraphy nib is an EF nib ground and adjusted to have a curved tip. Line variation is achieved not solely by pressing down, but by the angle of the pen. Utilizing the nib's curvature, angle the pen slightly upright for finer lines, as this reduces the contact area with the paper. Tilting the pen further or applying slight pressure increases the contact area, resulting in broader strokes. The ability to write with varying line widths depends on your proficiency. (Each nib has a certain degree of pressure it can withstand; avoid excessive force to prevent nib damage or misalignment. It is recommended to use a writing pad under the paper while writing).
In response to environmental protection, we do not proactively provide paper bags. If a gift bag is required, please specify this in the order notes after placing your order. Thank you.
Images are for reference only. The product is a single pen. Some photos may have slight color variations due to lighting and angles; please refer to the actual product.
Note: Regularly wipe and maintain the inside of the pen body and cap. When storing, do not leave the nib facing downwards for extended periods.
Gentle Reminder: When writing, avoid pressing down hard on the nib or writing with it tilted excessively left or right (for right-handed users, it is recommended to hold the pen so the nib points towards the 10 or 11 o'clock position). This prevents potential iridium point misalignment, which can lead to scratching or ink flow issues. The nib should be rinsed with clean water regularly to prevent ink clogging and maintain writing quality.
