Tama Cloisonne Wine Glass - Bar Glasses & Drinkware - Glass Blue

Product Description

I worked on making it as the second Burgundy type wine glass. The three-band wine glass produced in the first installment has a pattern with many cuts called chrysanthemum connection, and it takes time to produce. In contrast, I tried to apply the ball cloisonne of our original design because it is a product that is closer to simple and keeps the price down. Cloisonne, which is the base, has the meaning of the importance of harmony (ring) between people, with the appearance that the circles are connected infinitely, so that the relationship between people will continue forever. It is an auspicious pattern. It also expresses the seven treasures of "gold, silver, crystal, lapis lazuli, agate, coral, and shako" described in Buddhism, and all treasures are in hand, that is, property. It also has the meaning of being prosperous and wealthy. A round ball (tama) and a ball (gyoku) were placed in the center of the cloisonne. "Tama" has the meaning of "a very important thing" in addition to the meaning of a sphere. Thrones, kings, gyokuro, etc. are all attached to mean "very important things". The ball is frosted and finished in a frosted glass shape by erasing. Tama Cloisonne wine glass, erasing In addition, the line is cut a little so that it intersects at three points under the two-tiered ball cloisonne. I thought I'd add a little more cut from here, but I dared to stop there because the design of this ball cloisonne is also about the aesthetics of subtraction. The design is not cluttered and the finish is refreshing and elegant, and I think it is not inferior to products with many cuts. The Kiriko of our workshop is polished using the traditional method of Edo Kiriko, "hand polishing", which maintains the strength of the glass and finishes it with high quality. On the other hand, there are some things in the world that polish the glass while immersing it in an acid called "acid polishing" and melting the entire glass into pieces. Acid-polished ones have the disadvantages of being easily scratched and the color may fade, but since the man-hours can be reduced and the price can be sold at a low price, sales will improve, so many workshops and writers perform acid-polishing. We are here. Since the cut surface of our workshop is polished one by one, the original strength of the glass is not lost, and you can wash it with a detergent or scrubbing brush. Please note that boiling water, microwave ovens and dishwashers cannot be used like any other glassware. The handling method is explained in detail on the homepage of the workshop.
