■ Product Description When thinking of wisteria hairpins (Kanzashi), most people imagine the large, elaborate ones worn for ceremonial occasions. However, I designed and created this piece with the hope of offering something that can be worn casually for a day out or a light party. Wisteria trees are long-lived and robust. In Japanese, the sound "Fuji" (Wisteria) is associated with "Fushi" (Immortal), making it an auspicious plant believed to ward off evil. This piece uses glass parts to gather and reflect light, creating a beautiful sparkle. Therefore, when not in use, we highly recommend displaying it in a single-flower vase by a window as a piece of interior decor. The name of this work is "Shunsho" (Spring Evening). This name comes from the saying that a spring evening is more atmospheric than anything else, and a moment of it is incredibly valuable. Around the time cherry blossoms fall, wisteria flowers reach their peak. The wisteria color, which looks soft during the day, turns into a glossy, deeper purple at night, delighting the eyes of the beholder. We have other types of Kanzashi available as well. ■ Materials & Appearance We crafted each petal from glass so that even though it is petite, it catches the eye with an elegant shine. It is said that human eyes are naturally drawn to swaying objects, making this highly recommended for dates. You can choose from two types of hairpin sticks: Single prong (approx. 11.8cm) or Two-prong (approx. 10.5cm). *The Two-prong stick costs an additional 100 JPY.
