These are SDGs jewelry pieces featuring kintsugi, upcycled from ceramics crafted by Hakuha Kiln in Imari City, Saga Prefecture. Broken or chipped ceramics that would otherwise be discarded are reused, mended with kintsugi, and transformed into accessories. The concept behind these pieces is to create modern accessories that connect to the future, allowing people to feel closer to nature and Japan's enduring traditions, thereby fostering new possibilities. These ceramic fragments, with their characteristic fine speckles and off-white hue, are paired with orange aventurine. The sides of the ceramic pieces are adorned with kintsugi, allowing the gold to subtly gleam from the side, adding an elegant touch. These pieces are perfect as a unique accent for both casual and elegant outfits. These pieces are crafted using a modern, simplified kintsugi technique. Unlike traditional kintsugi which uses natural lacquer derived from the urushi tree, this method uses adhesive for the bonding itself.
