The traditional Burmese Tombaloh is often egg-shaped.
The egg shape is more challenging to craft.
When it spread to Thailand, it evolved into a spherical form.
This batch is circular.
It shares the same appearance as the commonly found Thai Tombaloh amulets.
Four pieces have returned to Taiwan, with two distinct appearances.
Two pieces feature a polished finish.
Two pieces retain their original temple patina with an oxidized appearance.
Each amulet weighs approximately 34 grams.
Era: 20th Century.
A sacred object consecrated in a modern Burmese temple.
