The Nippon Traditional Colours series reproduces these traditional colours in everyday objects. Reproducing traditional colours using the lacquer technique: To reproduce these conventional colours, we use the "Nuri" process, in which craftsmen carefully finish each item individually. BPA free: BPA stands for Bisphenol A and is a plastic stabiliser. Its use is regulated in Europe and the USA, and many people are sensitive to it. This product does not contain BPA. This makes it safer to use. Delivered in an original cosmetic box: It is pre-packed in an original cosmetic box in traditional colours to make it suitable for gifting. Traditional lacquered lunch box: Craftsmen apply layers of lacquer by hand, following the techniques of Yamanaka lacquerware, which has more than 400 years of history. The lacquering process uses advanced painting techniques that produce smoother and more vibrant colours. Painting is nerve-wracking because the paint changes subtly over time. It is very difficult to apply the paint at a consistent thickness, and machines are prone to colour irregularities. It takes experience and skill to reproduce all the same colours by hand.
