By spraying soda into the kiln at high temperatures, it vaporizes and chemically reacts with the clay components of the piece, creating a unique and varied glassy glaze effect on the surface. Soda firing can produce a rich variety of glazes, such as orange peel textures, shimmers, smooth finishes, and even crackles. Its size is compatible with our Maze dripper, and you can choose to purchase them together. The straight cylindrical body expresses a sleek and straightforward aesthetic, while the large, flat surface allows the characteristics of various glazes to be fully displayed, highlighting the unique qualities of each glaze. The flared rim, a traditional cup form that has existed since ancient times, is designed not only for beauty but also for comfortable drinking. This slightly outward-curving rim perfectly fits the lips, allowing you to experience the smooth flow of the beverage as you sip. The square handle is also a traditional design. We've modified the traditional square handle with an upper flat and lower slanted line, offering a distinct visual profile. The square ear handle is also very comfortable to hold. Our Fang Yun cup, with a moderate capacity of 240ml, is highly versatile for brewing tea or drip coffee bags. A small detail is the angled line on the inner wall, located around the 200ml mark, which provides a simple way to gauge the volume, making it more intuitive to use. In this design, the large, flat vertical surface of the cup wall allowed the artisan to be more creative with the glaze application.
