**/ What is Macrame /**
Macrame is an art form that relies solely on the hands to weave cord into beautiful patterns, without the need for tools like crochet hooks, knitting needles, or weaving looms.
Macrame originated from the 13th-century Arabic word “migramah,” meaning weaver. At the time, it referred to decorative textiles worn by camels and horses, which were not only aesthetically pleasing but also served to keep bothersome insects away. Later, the Moors introduced Macrame to France, from where it spread throughout Europe. It was brought to England in the late 17th century and became immensely popular during the Victorian era, frequently used in home decor.
