【Purple Clay Series】Purple Clay Gilded Coiled Serpent Teapot | Capacity: Approx. 110cc - Teapots & Teacups - Other Materials

Product Description

The Purple Clay Small Coiled Serpent teapot is a perfect union of art and utility. Through a unique clay blending technique and high-temperature firing, it achieves excellent breathability and stability, perfectly enhancing the layers of tea aroma. The 3D embellishments, including the finial, are hand-sculpted, offering a vivid design with auspicious meanings. It serves as a practical tea vessel during use and as an elegant centerpiece on your tea table when idle. Crafted from high-quality Taiwanese purple clay, the body undergoes a specialized blending and high-temperature firing process, ensuring superior breathability and stability. While breathable, it remains water-tight, allowing it to bring out the depth of tea leaves and produce a lasting fragrance. With regular use, the surface gradually develops a unique luster. The work is unglazed, preserving the original texture and color of the purple clay, allowing the vessel body to interact directly with the tea. Works from yuhuayuart are dedicated to those who cherish details and appreciate the quality of life, transforming every tea session from a simple act into a continuous journey of enjoyment and refined taste. Purchase Notes 1. Every piece from yuhuayuart is handcrafted by artist Yu Hua-Yu. Each is unique, which is the true charm of handmade ceramics. 2. Each work is one-of-a-kind; once sold, no identical piece is available. If your preferred piece has been sold, please feel free to send us a message to inquire about similar styles. 3. During the firing process, glaze may flow naturally, and fine crackles may appear on the surface due to temperature variations; these are characteristic of kiln-fired works. Please message us if you have any questions about a piece. 4. Works are photographed in a studio to capture their true colors as accurately as possible. Please refer to the actual product for exact color; minor variations are not considered defects. Artist | Yu Hua-Yu Born in 1980, he was captivated by wheel-thrown pottery during junior high school. After his military service, he moved to Yingge and studied under masters Wu Guo-Rong and Wu Jian-Cai, dedicating over twenty years to ceramic art. He has developed the Yohen Shino, Rock Mineral, and Purple Clay Cloud & Mist series, and successfully recreated the ceramic firing techniques of the Song Dynasty. Creative Philosophy Master Yu centers his work on kiln transformation, believing each piece is a collaborative creation between the artist and the user that transcends time. Every crack and layer of color enriches through the user's daily life, becoming a true vessel of the beauty of utility—making tea appreciation a continuous experience of enjoyment and taste.
