If the cord becomes dirty, it can be cleaned with clean water or a mild detergent, then gently blotted dry or air-dried. (Please avoid wearing while bathing in hot springs or swimming.) ‧ During the weaving process, the ends of the cord are sealed by lightly melting the wax with heat.
