This is an SDG-conscious ring featuring Kintsugi, upcycled from Arita ware.
Broken or chipped ceramic pieces, no longer in use, are repurposed and mended with Kintsugi to create these unique accessories.
The concept behind these pieces is to bring the beauty of nature and Japan's enduring traditions closer to you, transforming them into modern accessories that connect to the future and unlock new possibilities.
Elegant ceramic fragments with traditional Japanese patterns are complemented by moonstone and freshwater pearls.
The sides of the ceramic pieces are enhanced with Kintsugi, allowing the gold to subtly gleam from the sides, adding a touch of refined elegance.
The hardware is made of brass with a 14K gold plating, making it hypoallergenic and resistant to tarnishing, ensuring it can be cherished for a long time.
The ring size is 17mm (generally equivalent to a US size 6.5, though sizing can vary by brand). It features an adjustable design, allowing you to expand the size for a comfortable fit for anyone.
Size of ceramic fragment and natural stone motif: 15 x 20mm
Hardware: Brass with 14K gold plating (hypoallergenic)
Weight: Despite being ceramic, these are lightweight and comfortable to wear.
As each piece is one-of-a-kind, they make for perfect gifts.
They are also ideal for presenting to someone special.

*"Kintsugi" is a unique Japanese traditional repair technique that mends broken or chipped pottery using lacquer and gold powder. This piece uses a modern, simplified Kintsugi method. Unlike traditional Kintsugi which uses natural lacquer derived from the urushi tree, this method incorporates an adhesive for structural integrity.
The Kintsugi elements are created using lacquer paint (a commercially produced paint, not raw urushi) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), with UV resin also used for reinforcement.
