The Story of the Monochrome Bird Picture Book

The story of Kada's Rainbow Cuckoo Bird had been developing for a long time, but it had, almost imperceptibly, expanded. One day, I shared this story with my French friend, Beatrice. She remarked, "Isn't this already two stories?!" Alas, my logic simply couldn't keep pace with the French, who delight in philosophical debate. We discussed how to reshape the narrative on the streets of Paris. As we walked and talked, another story spontaneously emerged: a prequel to the Rainbow Cuckoo Bird. Oh dear, it had expanded again! But this is the joy of creation, full of delightful surprises! This story of the monochrome bird gradually took shape over a year of communication via Skype. We finalized it in Paris in September 2017. I am grateful to so many people for allowing this little colorful story to come to life on our small island. We hope this picture book brings you beautiful imaginings, a touch of color, a spark of warmth, a glimmer of hope. This is a little story about colors.
