This donburi bowl, perfect for autumn and winter, is shaped and coated with a serene light blue glaze, with a white glaze accent on the handle area. The finished piece balances a traditional Japanese feel with a playful, charming appeal. All stages of production—from kneading the clay and shaping to bisque firing, glazing, and final firing—are meticulously done by hand in my home studio, equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. To address this, we apply a waterproof sealant to all our tableware before shipping, eliminating the need for a preliminary soaking. This sealing process requires 2-3 days, hence our shipping timeframe of 5 days from order placement.
