Even within the same color, there can be slight differences. The density of these patterns can vary across a single hide. These variations are part of the charm of natural leather. ◾️ Number Indicating Leather Size (Mark of Italian Leather) The numbers on the back are a mark of Italian leather and indicate the size of the hide. They are stamped once per hide. These markings add to the character, and as they are often found in quality sections of the leather, they are left as is. Therefore, they may occasionally appear on the product. Personally, I appreciate items with these numbers. ◾️ Water Stains The leather can absorb water, leading to stains. Wiping it dry as soon as possible after contact with water can help prevent stains. Applying a leather treatment like Renapur can provide water-repellent properties. ◾️ Straie These are the wrinkles and lines that appear in areas of intense muscle movement and stretching.
