During the process of burning firewood, the ash after burning falls on the surface of the utensil, forming a mottled yellow color, which reflects the purple-gold background color of the cup body that has been influenced by the flames. It is full of layered texture and adds to the warmth of handcrafting.

**Introduction to wood burning**
"Wood firing" is a traditional kiln firing method, which uses wood to burn to a high temperature of over 1,200 degrees.
There are "fire marks" naturally left by the firewood directly on the body, as well as the ashes that naturally fall after the firewood is burned, making the color of the work warm and richly varied, a state that cannot be achieved by electric kilns and gas kilns.
Compared with ordinary electric kilns and gas kilns, wood burning takes about 8 to 10 days from rowing (stacking) kilns, igniting and burning to sealing the kiln, and then cooling down.
In addition, the pressure of the wood-burning kiln is very high, as well as factors such as climate humidity, dryness of the wood, artificial speed of adding firewood, and kiln discharge position... which may lead to the success or failure of the work, and the damage rate is also high.
Experienced wood-burning writers will consider the speed of the airflow throughout the kiln when discharging the kiln. They must plan from how to discharge the works of different sizes, how to estimate the rise of the fire path, how to add firewood and carbon, and the degree of burning heat. mind. Every process requires full concentration so that perfect wood-fired works can be presented.
