The artist collaborating with Blackcred this time is Ricky luk (pen name: Hanxu). Ricky luk (pen name: Hanxu) graduated with a Master of Architecture and Design from the University of Hong Kong in 2012. In 2014, he dedicated himself to living a full-time life supported by his art. Primarily using illustration as his medium, he participates in various artistic projects such as picture book creation, performances, and installations. He is the author of the picture books "If We Only Met and Never Reunited" and "I Don't Want to Die Alone." Please write down your recent mood, feelings, a memory, or an object on the postcard. 2: Upon receiving your story, we will begin our creative dialogue, sharing joy and resolving concerns with you. What is displayed here is a conceptual notebook (0/100), not the one you will receive. Each notebook will be recorded with the date, weather, exposure time, and theme of the day. 3: The notebook and postcard will be presented using cyanotype. Cyanotype is an old photographic printing process that uses photosensitive liquid, sunlight, and water to develop images. The images were first created by Ricky luk (pen name: Hanxu) on transparencies, and then produced by Xia Jingye of Blackcred using the cyanotype technique. However, the cyanotype will not be created using Blackcred's usual methods; instead, it will be influenced by your story and emotions, leading to variations. It might be a deep blue, or as light and simple as this concept piece. There is no fixed creative method. For instance, the creation of this concept piece incorporated film from a cassette tape, a contact printing method. Therefore, the materials used for your "<<Reply, Letter.>>" will also vary, making each notebook unique. 4: The replies we receive from you will be exhibited. Our creative process, the transparencies painted for you, and the materials and mediums used will all be displayed. 5: All proceeds will be used for the exhibition and for meals (we need to have meals to discuss your work). Therefore, we are not profiting from you at all, dear. From the inner pages to the cover, everything is handmade. The inner pages are sewn with thread so they can lie flat when opened. The cover is developed using cyanotype, then cut and shaped into a sleeve. This way, the inner pages can be replaced once filled. Many people are reluctant to use notebooks they buy.
