Shimenawa Bracelet – Fine　With Torii Display Stand

Concept At Shimogamo Shrine, I once created and exhibited a three-meter sculpture inspired by the arm of Susanoo. In that work, I wrapped an actual shimenawa (sacred rope) around the wrist and let shide (zigzag paper streamers) hang down. This accessory was born from the desire to recreate that artwork on my own arm. "The divine dwells in my arm." "The things my hand creates carry the divine." With this conviction and prayer, I designed this piece. Features & Design The special “Fine” model, the only piece in the series adorned with eight shide, has been renewed as the 2026 edition. Unlike the “Thick” and “Standard” models, which echo the ropes that surround shrines and sanctuaries, this design radiates a unique presence. To capture the texture of a real shimenawa, the rope lines have been carefully carved to enhance three-dimensional depth compared to the previous model. The shide have been enlarged by 10% to give them a stronger presence, while maintaining delicacy. On the back, the artist’s signature has been engraved, further elevating its value as an art piece. Recommended for those who prefer not to wear heavy or bulky jewelry, but still seek sacredness and a strong sense of presence. Material & Specifications Material: The bangle is made of brass. The shide charm is available in sterling silver (Silver 925) or brass.
