The designer hand-connected three original embroidered flower lover, made at an embroidery factory in Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture, a birthplace of embroidery in Japan where many embroidery artisans work, to create adorable Clip-On. The motifs are created by machine embroidering on water-soluble film and then dissolving the film, leaving only the Embroidery thread. Since no fabric is used, the Clip-On are very light, weighing just 4g per pair including the metal fittings, so you can wear them with less strain on your ears. (4g = 4 1 yen coins) The motifs made of thread shine through in the sunlight and flutter lightly in the breeze, adding a touch of glamour to the face. The flower lover motif is based on the long-horned poppy, which blooms along roadsides and in vacant lots in early spring. Although it is an invasive weed, its vibrant colours swaying in the breeze give a sense of the changing seasons. Ecru (cream color), which blends well with the skin, is a standard color that is very popular both in face-to-face sales and in stores. The rayon yarn used has an elegant luster like silk. The center of the flower lover is made with glitter thread, giving it an elegant shine. It goes well with straw hats and yukatas, and is a color that can be used all year round.
