Despite being lightweight, it offers a surprisingly spacious interior. It can accommodate tablets and laptops up to 15.6 inches. ◎ The exterior of the bag features intricate embroidery. Crafted with a shuttle embroidery machine by the skilled artisan, Mr. Hun, each piece possesses a unique character. ◎ The main opening is secured with a YKK zipper. ◎ Made from polyester nylon material, it is exceptionally lightweight. ◎ Both the back and bottom are padded with urethane for shock absorption and to comfortably support the weight. ◎ A convenient pocket on the back side is perfect for your smartphone. ◎ Side pockets are ideal for water bottles or other items, with one side featuring a D-ring. ◎ Inside, there is a padded compartment for iPads or similar devices on the back panel. Below this, a zippered pocket for keys and stationery, and two open pockets beneath it. This is especially true for items with darts and gathers, where measurements can vary by a few centimeters. Therefore, we kindly ask for your understanding that sizes should be considered holistically, including the accompanying photographs. We are often asked, "How is shuttle embroidery different from regular machine embroidery?" Standard machine embroidery involves a machine reading an embroidery design and automatically stitching it. This results in uniform embroidery, with every piece being identical. In contrast, shuttle embroidery is a craft where an artisan manually moves the fabric while stitching the design. Because it is human-made, each piece has its own unique character. No two embroidered designs are exactly alike, and the finished embroidery has a texture that resembles hand embroidery. It's an astonishingly skillful technique that involves transferring a sketch onto the fabric and meticulously stitching while referring to the original design, all while controlling the up-and-down motion of the sewing machine needle. Currently, there are only about 400 people in Vietnam who can perform shuttle embroidery. Among them, only about 50 work professionally. Furthermore, only 30 have passed the highest level (Level 4) of embroidery certification. And among those, merely 10 can execute the intricate designs required by Pangandaran. However, being skilled is not enough; embroidery also requires a sense of aesthetics. Subtle nuances can significantly alter the overall impression. Therefore, at Pangandaran, we entrust our designs to Mr. Hun, who possesses the highest level of skill. Mr. Hun, now 46, has been embroidering since he was 15, making him a veteran of 31 years in this craft. Moreover, he has an exceptional sense of design. We place our complete trust in him. Due to recent economic development, traditional crafts in Vietnam, like elsewhere, face challenging circumstances. Since the year 2000, the number of people capable of shuttle embroidery has been rapidly declining, and there are virtually no young people today who can perform this technique. It is anticipated that the number of artisans will continue to decrease, and Vietnamese shuttle embroidery is destined to become a fading art within the next decade or so. In this video, the esteemed artisan Mr. Hun demonstrates the creation of the "Sudden Shower" embroidery. Witness the beauty of embroidery brought to life with his assured technique.
