During the kiln firing process, unforeseen elements such as ash deposits or iron spots may occur, creating unique patterns, which also become the unique mark of each piece. We will provide photos for your confirmation before shipping. ................. | About Fu Chang Kiln's Crazing Patterns | We pursue simplicity, so we intentionally create single-layer crazing. Visually, after seasoning, it will develop crack patterns resembling the shell of a tea egg. These patterns form as the kiln cools down and will continue to evolve; they are not static. Before seasoning, you can use your phone's light to view the general direction of the patterns. These crackles do not affect functionality. As they are used, color will seep into the cracks. Black is referred to as iron wire pattern, ochre as eel blood pattern, and tea color as gold thread pattern; the ever-changing appearance makes each piece full of life. ................. | Notes | - Fu Chang Kiln pottery is fired at high temperatures of 1240°C and can be safely cleaned with a scrubbing sponge or in a dishwasher. (Products with wooden handles are an exception; wooden items must be kept dry.) - Single-material pottery can be heated in an oven or electric cooker. - Pottery is fragile. It will be carefully packaged before shipment.
