Tama-Kan (Jade Sway Bell) with Rosewood Striker
This bell, shaped like a jade pendant, gently sways after being struck. Designed by Koizumi Production, the Tama-Kan offers a dual sense of healing through both its sound and visual appeal.
The striker, crafted from ebony/rosewood or maple and featuring a brass base, not only feels luxurious but also enhances the resonance of the chime. The inverted design of the bell allows for a beautifully sustained resonance.
The unique design of the striker allows it to stand upright on its own, much like a roly-poly toy, ensuring it won't tip over.
The Tama-Kan received the GOOD DESIGN AWARD in 2005.
Each piece is handcrafted by artisans in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, a region renowned for its brass craftsmanship in Japan.
