Necklace with Mosaic Pattern Roman Glass, Assorted Brass, and Antique Blue Beads

This necklace is crafted by connecting mosaic pattern Roman glass, assorted brass, and antique blue beads. The clear, oval beads are Bohemian beads from the early 20th century. They have minor scratches from age, but this only adds to their incredible character! (Bohemian bead size: 0.8cm width, 0.6cm height) The Roman glass dates back to the Roman Empire (27 BCE - 395 CE). These beads are fragments of what were once circular bangles, giving them a slight curve. As they are ancient, there are small chips present. The bird-shaped bead is also made from Roman glass. Each bead possesses a unique expression. Assorted African brass beads in oval and spiral shapes, along with brass pieces from other vintage necklaces, have been incorporated. The blue beads are antique beads known as Indopacific beads. The origins of Indopacific beads are said to date back to the 2nd century BCE. These particular beads are archaeological finds from Indonesia, dating back to around the 10th century – over 1000 years old! The clasp is an S-hook, allowing for versatile wear.
