Began learning jade carving in Taipei in 1988. Studied Advertising Design in vocational high school in 1993, integrating design concepts into his work. Established his own studio in 1994. 2000: Awarded Honorable Mention in the Craftsmanship category at the 14th Nanying Art Exhibition for "Waiting for the Opportunity." Participated in a jade exhibition at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in August. 2001: Invited to participate in the live carving section of the Hualien International Arts Festival. 2002: Received an Honorable Mention at the "Dream of Craftsmanship" competition of the 10th Taiwan Craft Design Competition. Exhibited in a jade exhibition at the Hsinchu County Cultural Affairs Bureau in January. Participated in the "Flowers and Trees Carnival" jade exhibition in Changhua County in May. Invited to exhibit in the "Grand View of Stones" exhibition organized by the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Cultural and Educational Foundation and the Hualien Cultural Affairs Bureau from October to December, with exhibitions in department stores across Northern, Central, and Southern Taiwan. 2003: Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute to exhibit works such as "Lotus Ecosystem Charm" at the "Taitung Local Crafts Exhibition" in the Presidential Office. 2004: Featured in the "Art and Culture Corridor - Xie Zhong-Ren Jade Carving Exhibition" on National Education Radio from March to June. Received an Honorable Mention at the "Dream of Craftsmanship" competition of the 12th Taiwan Craft Design Competition. Held a solo exhibition at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall from October to January 2005. 2005: Invited by the National Taiwan Museum to exhibit the indigenous carving "Taiwanese Snacks - Braised Pork Rice." Participated in the "Sherlock Holmes Exhibition" with the National Museum of the Czech Republic from June to September. Established the "Yu Ning Shi" brand and opened counters in department stores. Exhibited at the Pacific Sogo Department Store's "Craftsmanship Masters" exhibition in mid-December. 2007: Invited to participate in the "Craftsmanship Zero Distance - Application of Living Crafts Exhibition" at the Executive Yuan Gallery, hosted by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute. 2008: His work "Japanese-Style Nigiri Sushi" was selected for the "Taiwan Craft Competition" at the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute. 2012: Received an Honorable Mention in the Traditional Craftsmanship category at the Ministry of Culture and National Taiwan Craft Research Institute's "Taiwan Craft Competition" for his work "Half a Thought."
