In an era of fleeting trends and bustling noise, staying true to one's original intention is a rare and precious quality. The Wood Heart series of dual-toned wooden necklaces began with my observation of beautiful wood scraps. With a spirit of experimentation, I began cutting and polishing them according to my own vision, and was unexpectedly delighted with the results. This led to the gradual design of more styles. This geometric pyramid-shaped necklace, representing primal energy, has always reminded me of my initial feelings towards wood and jewelry, hence its name, "Wood Heart." This "Wood Heart" necklace is made from resilient and fragrant green sandalwood. Due to the rich variations where the heartwood and sapwood meet, a relatively simple design was chosen to showcase the unique patterns on each facet, highlighting the unpredictable beauty of green sandalwood. The brand name is "REN REN XIAN MU" (朲人羨木), signifying the wood creator (REN) and the user (REN), where XIAN represents admiration for something, and MU symbolizes nature and wood. The name's essence is about the shared love for nature and wood between the creator and the user, with wood serving as a medium for connection and joy. Each necklace is born from my deep contemplation of a piece of wood, observing its unique grain, color, and even its subtle fragrance, all of which become triggers for my design. I strive to understand the wood in my hands, discovering its picturesque beauty, and crafting the most fitting "frame" for it. Using sandpaper, from coarse to fine, I meticulously polish the resilient material until its captivating luster and tactile feel emerge, making each piece truly one-of-a-kind. REN REN has consistently committed to using hardwood species for creation. In forestry, hardwoods are known as "hardwood," characterized by their density. While they present challenges in processing, they are easy to maintain. Post-creation, products are finished with natural coatings, utilizing beeswax sourced from beekeepers.
