We recommend regularly wiping and maintaining the leather cord to extend its lifespan, especially in summer when sweating or contact with sunscreen is common. Use a pure water wet wipe to clean the entire leather cord. Once completely dry, apply oil evenly with a cotton cloth. This also helps remove waterproof sunscreen. 2. If the leather becomes thoroughly soaked, dry it as quickly as possible and reapply oil for protection. Allowing it to air dry naturally can cause the leather's structure to shrink, deform, and harden. 3. To prevent dark water stains if the leather gets wet: Use a pure water wet wipe, or a damp (not dripping) tissue or paper napkin, to evenly wipe the entire leather surface including the wet spot. Use cool air to dry evenly. If only hot air is available, maintain a distance of at least thirty centimeters from the leather. After drying, wipe with leather oil for maintenance. 4. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. 5. In addition to the natural warmth and oils from your hands, which gradually impart a warm luster to the leather, we recommend wiping with a dry cloth periodically and then maintaining with leather oil. 6. Mold spots on leather are formed over time from dust and humidity. If storing leather items for extended periods, first wipe off dust with a dry cloth, then wrap them in a dust bag, kraft paper, or cotton cloth (cut from an old white t-shirt) and store in a ventilated area. Frequent handling of the leather (to prevent dust and moisture buildup) can also reduce the chance of mold, similar to how a rolling stone gathers no moss. 7.
