Leontina
【 Amulet 】
An amulet hairpin meticulously crafted with lapis lazuli, a natural stone steeped in history since ancient times.
This hairpin features a securely wound thread, ensuring a firm hold on your hair. It offers a more robust grip than standard bobby pins.
The cascading jewels create a sophisticated, mature aura, making this piece a refined choice for those who feel conventional hairpins are too youthful.
Beyond styling side tresses, it can be a delightful accent to updos, chignons, or buns, and is perfect for taming stray hairs.
Lapis lazuli, revered for its deep blue hue, was considered the stone of Osiris, god of the sky and underworld, in ancient Egypt. In Roman times, Pliny the Elder famously described it as a "fragment of the heavens." Mining of lapis lazuli began in ancient Afghan mines thousands of years B.C. and continues to this day.
Consider adding this protective hairpin to your daily ensemble, especially as a stylish companion for the warmer, more humid seasons.
Hairpin fittings: Brass, Main body: Iron
Hairpin length: Approximately 57mm
*The thread wound around the top of the hairpin provides a strong hold.
When putting in or taking out, please gently open the hairpin with your fingers and carefully slide it in and out of your hair.
*The end of the thread winding is hardened with a sealant, creating a small, transparent bulge. This is a necessary reinforcement for the strength of this hair accessory. Please refer to the photos for details.
