Taiwan Endemic Species: Western Green Hairstreak Painted Earrings (Post/Clip-on)

Elements are taken from original hand-painted watercolor art, meticulously handcrafted. Taiwan is home to 27 species of the *Callophrys* butterfly family, remnants of the ice age, found only in the misty forests of mid-to-high altitudes. When at rest with wings closed, they reveal simple shades of gray and brown, but when their wings are spread, they shimmer with dazzling metallic greens, blues, and pearlescent hues, earning them the name "living jewels of the misty forest." The *Callophrys rubi* butterfly, also known as the Western Green Hairstreak, exhibits distinct color differences between males and females. This piece features the male, with wings dusted with silver powder that glimmers and dances with movement. Total length approximately 3cm.
