Handmade Gerbera Brooch - Lemon Yellow & Pink-Green Uranium Glass

We created this gerbera by weaving glass beads from the Czech Republic (Bohemia), which boasts a long history of traditional glass craftsmanship. For this specific color, every component is made from Czech glass, allowing you to enjoy its unique and profound expression. The petals are arranged randomly rather than at equal intervals to mimic the natural look of a real flower. The firm texture achieved through nylon weaving is a unique feature. It is finished in a size slightly smaller than a real gerbera. This transparent yellow has a brilliant, near-fluorescent impression. When exposed to bright sunlight, it takes on a faint greenish tint. It is highly recommended for those who prefer lemon yellow over standard yellows—I am one of those enthusiasts! The unique hue comes from "Uranium Glass." By adding a trace amount of uranium as a coloring agent, the glass emits a green fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light (blacklight). This mystical coloring was very popular until before WWII. Lemon yellow is the most iconic and attractive shade for uranium glass. In this piece, not only the petals but also the core and surrounding beads are entirely made of uranium glass. Unlike our other colors, the center features a faceted round uranium glass bead rather than woven seed beads. It has a warm color palette with green accents within pink.
