→ Product Introduction Wood firing is one of the oldest methods of ceramic production, primarily using wood as fuel. It requires four days of firing to reach the target temperature. The ash and oils from the burning wood then become the unique outer layer of each wood-fired piece, known as the ash glaze. The artistic value of wood firing speaks for itself. The distinctive ash glaze ensures that no two pieces are ever exactly alike, making uniqueness its most revered quality. Thus, wood-fired creations best showcase the artist's personality and highlight the collector's discerning eye for art. Wood firing can be broadly divided into unglazed and glazed firing. Unglazed refers to firing the clay body directly without any glaze, revealing the most rustic texture of wood firing. Glazed firing, on the other hand, adds the effects of various glazes to the natural ash glaze, resulting in even more diverse and transformative works. Beyond its artistic value, during the firing process, the adherence of natural carbon in wood-fired ceramics makes them ideal for boiling water or brewing tea, enhancing the sweetness and clarity of the beverage.
