Cosmetic Bag-Four Magpies as Harbingers of Spring - Toiletry Bags & Pouches - Other Materials

Product Description

Length about 18 cm Width about 11.6 cm Height about 5.5 cm (The size will have a difference of ±5% by the fabrics elasticity, fabrics washing, and the point of the measurement.) About Four Magpies as Harbingers of Spring Anonymous, Yuan dynasty (1279 to 1368) Hanging scroll, colored silk embroidery on thin blue silk, 86.8 x 48.2 cm This embroidery of colored silk threads on a blue background depicts plum blossoms, narcissi, camellia, and two pairs of magpies. The birds appear archaic but spirited nonetheless. The coloring is pure and elegant, the needlework smooth and neat. The threads are coarse with long stitches combined with flat embroidery and relatively little variation to the colored threads. The embroidered threads of the plum tree have all but been adraded, revealing the white threads of the embroidery model. The vegetation on the slope also includes painting with brush and ink after the embroidery had been done. Surviving examples of Yuan dynasty embroidery are exceptionally rare, so this work perhaps others a glimpse at what it may have looked like. Fragile: No Main Material of the Product: Synthetic Fiber, Zipper, Cotton Size: 18 x 11.6 x 5.5 cm Net Weight: 35g
